Everything has a beginning

‘Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world’.

Academic background

I took my first steps in a scientific career thanks to the University of Seville. There I did my degree in Biochemistry at the US and the UMA between 2017-2021

This degree allowed me to learn about the potential of Biochemistry in our day-to-day life and set me on the path towards Biotechnology. In addition, it was here where I discovered where I wanted to focus my career: Bioinformatics.

I completed my training with...

Drug discovery and development

Decode Life (2021), India

In this course I learned to apply my knowledge of molecular structures to develop drugs whose conformations interact with target molecules. To do so, I learned docking techniques, molecular dynamics and QSAR modelling.

New technologies are taking up more and more space in our routine. That is why I decided to study the master's degree in Omic Data Analysis and Systems Biology at the US and UNIA in the class of 2021-2022.

In it, I specialised in the analysis and integration of different omics data. Although I also discovered new tools such as image analysis, software development and web applications and predictive models.

I completed my training with...

Fundamentals of Deep Learning

NVIDIA (2022), Spain

In order to understand how one part of artificial intelligence works, I took this course to learn how to make predictive models based on neural networks and the like.

Based on the biochemical knowledge acquired in the degree and the bioinformatics techniques learnt in the master's degree, in 2024 I decided to do a PhD in Molecular Biology, Biomedicine and Clinical Research at the University of Seville, which I am currently working on.

I have the pleasure of being part of the research group Systems Biology and Biotechnology in Microalgae at the IBVF in Seville.

Western blot – a technique possible to optimize

Agrisera (2023), Sweden

The Western blot technique can be a real headache, so thanks to this course I managed to optimise the processing to get results in an easy and simple way that I have subsequently applied in my scientific publications.
